Mission
The mission of the Academic Achievement and Access Center is to help students:
- have full and equal access to all facilities, classes, events, and activities that the University of Kansas has to offer;
- engage in active and collaborative learning in and out of the classroom;
- attain their academic and personal goals.
Academic Success Workshops
Watch for regularly scheduled workshops on time/priority management, how to study, note taking, studying for and taking exams, managing academic anxiety, and preparing for finals. Information will be posted around campus and sent to advising offices. The schedule may also be found on
our web page.
Individual Consultation
Individual consultations allow students who have a particular academic or personal situation to meet with a staff member in a one-on-one private setting. This option is suitable for students who:
- are seeking general assistance to identify campus resources to meet their needs;
- are seeking individualized information about improving study skills and time management;
- are petitioning for re-admission, withdrawal or financial aid;
- are needing assistance with notifying professors of absences of three or more days;
- are on academic probation;
- are referred by an advisor or instructor.
